Duties
- Safely operate equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including lift trucks and cranes), clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, move, and position materials within the warehouse.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to ensure optimal functionality while adhering to forklift safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS), including barcode scanning for logistics accuracy and real-time inventory updates.
- Execute order picking tasks with precision to fulfill shipping and receiving requirements efficiently.
- Load and unload shipments using appropriate material handling equipment while following manual handling procedures for heavy lifting.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and equipment usage; assist with warehouse distribution activities.
- Support warehouse safety initiatives by adhering to safety standards in production, participating in safety training sessions, and promoting a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, or order pickers.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for logistics operations.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment when necessary.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, materials handling, heavy lifting, and manual handling techniques.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments such as OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and heavy equipment use.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety protocols during heavy equipment operation.
- Previous experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required; a proactive attitude toward learning is essential.

Pay: $21.50 - $22.00 per hour
