Travel/Contract Operating Room RN

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel CVOR RN to join our nationwide team of healthcare professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality cardiovascular surgical care. In this role, you will travel to healthcare facilities across the United States, providing expert perioperative nursing support for patients undergoing complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures in the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR). You will function as both a circulating and scrub nurse, ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care for high-acuity surgical patients.

As a Travel CVOR RN with Fusion Medical Staffing, you will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and interdisciplinary OR staff to prepare the operating room, manage equipment and supplies, and maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control standards. You will monitor patient status throughout the surgical procedure, respond rapidly to changes in condition, administer medications per protocol, and provide detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. You will actively participate in preoperative verification, intraoperative care, and postoperative handoff to ensure continuity and safety.
