This job is ON - SITE.FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00Shift: 1stShift Details: Monday - Friday, 0700-1530 . Includes weekend and holiday rotations Job Summary:Under general supervision performs processing and set-up of surgical instrument trays, maintaining the correct sterilization parameters; builds surgical case carts using surgeon's preference lists; processes and distributes supplies and equipment required by Surgery, Nursing, Distribution for the treatment of patients. Maintains certification, and monitors, instructs and mentors non-certified staff. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE: 1 year of hospital experience in sterile processing is preferred.EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent is required.LICENSURE: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) from the IAHCSMM or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) from the CBSPD is required.TRAINING: Specialized training (min. 6 mos.-2 yrs.)
