Social Media Strategist and Paid Media Manager

<p><strong>Classification: </strong><span>This position is classified as exempt, full-time, and is at-will employment.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>As a Social Media Strategist and Paid Media Manager at Well Connected Brands, you will lead strategy and also execute the day-to-day work. This role is ideal for someone who wants flexibility, a work from home schedule, and the opportunity to own social media marketing from concept to completion. You will capture content, write copy, run paid campaigns, manage client accounts, and bring ideas to life across platforms. You will collaborate with clients and internal team members to bring brand stories to life while staying grounded in strategy and measurable results.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>Although this role offers flexibility, you must be available during standard business hours to communicate with clients, participate in internal meetings, and support real-time needs. Most work happens in the general 8 to 5 range Monday-Friday.</span></p><p><br></p><p><span>This is a fully remote position within the State of California. Employees must have reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace. Travel is required for content capture at client site visits. Most visits are in Orange County, with occasional regional trips and very limited nationwide travel, usually one to two times each year. There are occasional site visits that may occur during evenings or weekends, but this is the exception rather than the rule. We also host quarterly in-person team meetings in Orange County or Los Angeles. </span></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p><p><span>The Social Media Strategist and Paid Media Manager is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, execution, and performance of both organic social media and paid social campaigns. This role blends brand storytelling with performance marketing, ensuring that social media efforts support awareness, engagement, community growth, lead generation, and conversion goals. The ideal candidate brings both strategic thinking and hands-on platform expertise, with the ability to develop content direction, manage paid campaigns, analyze results, and recommend optimizations that align with client objectives.</span></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><span>Develop social media strategies that align with client goals, audience insights, brand positioning, and campaign objectives</span></li><li><span>Lead both organic and paid social media planning and execution across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and others as relevant</span></li><li><span>Create and manage social media content calendars in partnership with internal teams and clients</span></li><li><span>Recommend content themes, messaging angles, campaign ideas, and platform-specific strategies that strengthen brand presence and engagement</span></li><li><span>Manage the development, launch, and optimization of paid social campaigns to support awareness, traffic, lead generation, and conversion goals</span></li><li><span>Oversee audience targeting, retargeting, testing strategies, campaign budgets, and performance optimization across paid social platforms</span></li><li><span>Develop content, ad creative, copy direction, and campaign assets</span></li><li><span>Monitor platform trends, audience behavior, and emerging opportunities to keep client strategies current and competitive</span></li><li><span>Analyze both organic and paid performance metrics, including engagement, reach, follower growth, CTR, CPC, CPL, CPA, ROAS, and conversions</span></li><li><span>Prepare clear, actionable reporting and recommendations for clients and internal stakeholders</span></li><li><span>Ensure campaign tracking, pixels, UTM parameters, and conversion events are set up and functioning properly</span></li><li><span>Identify opportunities to integrate organic and paid efforts for greater performance, consistency, and efficiency</span></li><li><span>Serve as a strategic partner to clients by providing social media insights, recommendations, and best practices</span></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><span>5+ years of experience in social media strategy and paid social campaign management preferred</span></li><li><span>Strong hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager and other social advertising platforms</span></li><li><span>Experience developing content strategy and managing social media campaigns across multiple platforms</span></li><li><span>Strong understanding of audience targeting, content performance, campaign optimization, and reporting</span></li><li><span>Ability to connect creative strategy with performance outcomes</span></li><li><span>Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills</span></li><li><span>Ability to manage multiple accounts, deadlines, and priorities in a fast-paced agency environment</span></li><li><span>Proficiency in analytics, reporting tools, and platform dashboards</span></li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><span>Agency experience</span></li><li><span>Experience with both B2B and B2C social media campaigns</span></li><li><span>Familiarity with social media management and reporting tools</span></li><li><span>Knowledge of lead generation, e-commerce, and conversion-focused paid social strategies</span></li><li><span>Understanding of influencer partnerships, community engagement, and social content trends</span></li></ul><p><strong>Core Competencies</strong></p><ul><li><span>Social media strategy</span></li><li><span>Paid campaign management</span></li><li><span>Content planning and creation </span></li><li><span>Creative development </span></li><li><span>Audience targeting and optimization</span></li><li><span>Performance analysis</span></li><li><span>Client communication</span></li><li><span>Initiative and accountability</span></li></ul><p><strong>Success in This Role Looks Like</strong></p><ul><li><span>Social media strategies are thoughtful, aligned, and tailored to each client’s goals</span></li><li><span>Organic content supports brand growth, engagement, and consistency</span></li><li><span>Paid campaigns are managed effectively and optimized against performance goals</span></li><li><span>Reporting is clear, strategic, and actionable</span></li><li><span>Organic and paid efforts work together cohesively</span></li><li><span>Clients view this person as a trusted social media and paid media expert</span></li></ul><p><strong><em>Compensation</em></strong></p><ul><li><span>Starting salary range: $70,000 -
