[Remote] Service Business Developer - Program Customers

They are seeking a Service Business Developer responsible for driving growth of field service, modernization, and lifecycle service solutions for strategic power distribution program customers.


Responsibilities

  • Lead Sales & Achieve Quota: Establish and lead sales initiatives to meet bookings quota for Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Electrification & Automation - Customer Services (SI EA CS) across the south-central region
  • Drive Market Share Growth: Expand market share by developing opportunity pipelines, executing strategic account planning, and penetrating new customer accounts across industrial, utility, and commercial verticals
  • Proactive Customer Engagement: Engage early with target customers to influence technical specifications, drive acceptance of Siemens solutions, and identify opportunities through site walks
  • Present & Up-sell Solutions: Present the full-service portfolio, provide accurate commercial proposals, and collaborate to up-sell service and modernization solutions
  • Strategic Sales Process: Lead strategic engagement in proposal and sales processes, fostering collaboration across multiple Siemens sales channels
  • Manage Sales Pipeline & Forecast: Develop and execute strategic booking plans, maintain clean forecasting of opportunity pipelines, and present monthly sales pipelines using the SI-wide CRM tool
  • Generate Demand & Leads: Actively hunt for service sales leads, assist in demand generation for service portfolios on active projects, and promote the full-service offering
  • Support Product & Provide Training: Contribute to Product Life-Cycle Management (PLM) for future product development and provide comprehensive training on the SI EA CS portfolio to customers and internal sales channels

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or business
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development with a strong emphasis on selling services (industrial services, electrical services, modernization, or lifecycle solutions)
  • Working knowledge of power distribution equipment, electrical systems, or industrial infrastructure across diverse market segments. A primary job function is to sell, and assist in selling services and testing/maintenance for Siemens switchgear products in the 480V-38kV product space
  • Experience with commercial contract negotiations
  • Command of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, for detailed financial analysis and business evaluation with working knowledge of related office suite products required
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 40% of the time, domestically as required
  • Legally authorized to work in the USA without company sponsored VISA now or future
  • A “Hunter's” drive and motivation to win orders (this is not an account maintenance role)
  • Consistent record or capability for account management, forecast, sales process management, and successful quota attainment in a complex sales environment across multiple product lines
  • Demonstrated negotiating skills, conflict management skills, accountability, and having the ability to work though others when required
  • Possess persuasive presentation and effective communications skills (written and verbal), motivation, and creativity to develop dynamic solutions to unique customer opportunities
  • Position is eligible for FAVR vehicle reimbursement program to compensate for local travel
  • High self-motivated, a self-starter, and can effectively work in an organizational matrix environment
