[Remote] IT Business Analyst (Tax/Finance)

The Business Analyst will assess core business processes and procedures, acting as a liaison between the business and IT development teams to recommend solutions and manage software implementations. Responsibilities Serve as a cross-functional team member or leader to analyze business problems, define business requirements, identify and recommend solutions to complex problems and process improvements Act as a liaison between the business and the IT development team, translating user needs into functional specifications and workable business solutions Participate and potentially lead process improvement teams and manage small to large-scale software implementation including ERP installations and upgrades Design, test implement and maintain small complexity software applications, queries and reports adhering to the standards documented within the IS department while working under direct supervision Effectively uses case analysis, requirements analysis and process modeling in assessing processes and procedures Meet policies and procedures for testing and promoting applications and reports Write detailed application and report documentation; prepare customer procedures and functional specifications following established guidelines Manage large and small scale software implementation/business process reengineering projects Plans and designs complex maintenance and enhancements, reports, forms, interfaces, and data conversions Assist post-installation by working with customers and IT personnel to solve small to medium problems and issues Conduct end-user training, IT department training, and presentations to management and user groups Understands Roseburg’s business processes and develops practical and efficient process designs, documentation, and user procedures Leads application testing and validation Model Company core values Skills Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business or related field Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Master's degree in a related field Wood products industry knowledge a plus Experience with Oracle's JD Edwards E1 Experience with Vertex Tax Experience with in SAP Ariba Benefits Bonus opportunities based on company and individual performance 401(k) with up to 4% company match and 3% automatic company contribution Vacation starting at 3 weeks and 11 paid holidays per year Company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid life, AD&D, and long-term disability insurance options Mental health benefits for the entire family, including 8 free annual sessions per person Wellness programs and incentives, including biometric screenings & wellness challenges Paid time away from work for illness or injury, as well as paid parental bonding time Health Savings Account (HSA) with company contributions and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options Company matchfor charitable contributions Education assistance and professional development support Financial and retirement counseling Additional voluntary benefits including pet insurance, student loan refinancing, and exclusive scholarships for child dependents, and more!
