Position Summary In your role as the Q&R New Technology/Product Quality Team Leader, you will lead an engineering team that plays a critical role at Samsung Austin Semiconductor in ensuring that new technologies and products being introduced meet all quality and reliability requirements prior to starting volume mass production. This team bridges technology development, process integration, process engineering, sales, customer, and manufacturing teams during the transition from process/product development to volume production in a highly complex semiconductor industry environment to deliver products on time to our customers that exceed their requirements. Role and Responsibilities Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For: Set, track, and meet daily, weekly, or project-based goals and deadlines. Create, maintain, and update team documentation and reports. Motivate and inspire team members to achieve high performance. Provide coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to support professional development. Establish a new local business process that confirms various quality checks for NTI products at development stages. Confirm NPI product mass production readiness using checklist/approval system before starting production lots. Create local TTTM (Tool to tool Matching) procedures and guides to fulfill TTTM requirements for new process qualification. Establish improved change control management process for changes occurring during technology development. Oversee NPI 8D process and make plans to continuously improve the business process. Skills and Qualifications Here's what you'll need: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related field. Previous direct people management experience required. 8+ years of experience in high volume production semiconductor industry environment Strong knowledge of semiconductor processes device physics, and failure analysis techniques. Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies: SPC, FMEA, DOE, 8D problem-solving, and statistical analysis. Understanding of industry standards and customer requirements in semiconductors (e.g., automotive, consumer, data center). Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software required. Solid understanding of semiconductor quality management system. The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $212,650. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
