Principal Engineer, Verification

Job Description:

  • Join Intel as a Principal Engineer in SoC Design Verification, leading functional logic verification efforts
  • Define and develop scalable and reusable block, subsystem, and SoC verification plans
  • Execute verification plans and run emulation and system simulation models
  • Investigate, root-cause, and debug issues in presilicon environments
  • Collaborate with SoC architects, microarchitects, RTL developers, and physical design teams
  • Document test plans and lead technical reviews
  • Incorporate security activities into verification workflows
  • Maintain and improve the functional verification infrastructure and methodology
  • Formulate technical strategies and align organizational goals with Intel's vision
  • Act as a mentor, coach, and role model within the organization

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 15+ years of industry experience
  • Proficiency in System Verilog, OVM, and UVM for development of verification environments and test benches
  • Expertise in SoC functional logic verification, including design for verification (DFV), test content development, and test planning
  • Extensive experience with debugging, hardware simulation, and hardware validation techniques
  • Thorough knowledge of digital design fundamentals, systems architecture, and SoC microarchitecture principles
  • Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including SoC feature test writing and integration
  • Demonstrated capability in root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective measures for pre-silicon failures
