In this role, you will develop and modernize applications, implement best practices for .NET Core and .NET 8, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, cloud-ready solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in C#/.NET development and is eager to contribute to large-scale modernization projects.</p> <h1><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h1> <ul> <li> Develop and maintain applications using <strong>C#</strong>, <strong>.NET Core</strong>, and <strong>.NET 8</strong>. </li> <li> Support the migration of legacy <strong>.NET Framework</strong> applications to modern .NET platforms. </li> <li> Build and maintain <strong>ASP.NET Core</strong> applications using middleware, dependency injection, and configuration best practices. </li> <li> Manage project dependencies using <strong>NuGet</strong>, SDK-style project files, and PackageReference. </li> <li> Develop and execute automated unit, integration, and regression tests. </li> <li> Review and validate code generated through AI-assisted migration and modernization tools. </li> <li> Collaborate with engineering teams using Git and CI/CD pipelines to support application delivery. </li> <li> Contribute to application modernization efforts while ensuring code quality, maintainability, and performance. </li> </ul> <h1><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h1> <ul> <li> <strong>3+ years</strong> of experience with <strong>C#</strong> and <strong>.NET</strong> development. </li> <li> Strong working knowledge of <strong>.NET Core</strong> and <strong>.NET 8</strong>, including differences from the .NET Framework. </li> <li> Hands-on experience with: <ul> <li> SDK-style <code>.csproj</code> files and <strong>PackageReference</strong> </li> <li> ASP.NET Core fundamentals (middleware, dependency injection, IConfiguration, appsettings.json, and the Options pattern) </li> <li> NuGet dependency management and package upgrades </li> <li> Automated testing using <strong>xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest</strong>, including mocking frameworks such as <strong>Moq</strong> </li> <li> Integration testing </li> </ul> </li> <li> Comfortable working in AI-assisted or tooling-driven migration workflows with manual code review. </li> <li> Experience using <strong>Git</strong> and CI/CD tools such as <strong>Azure DevOps</strong> or <strong>GitHub Actions</strong>. </li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li> Hands-on experience migrating <strong>.NET Framework</strong> applications to <strong>.NET Core</strong> or <strong>.NET 8</strong>. </li> <li> Familiarity with migrating <strong>System.Web</strong> applications, <strong>Entity Framework 6 to EF Core</strong>, and legacy ASP.NET technologies. </li> <li> Experience with <strong>Razor</strong>, <strong>Blazor</strong>, <strong>T4 Templates</strong>, <strong>AWS Porting Assistant</strong>, or <strong>.NET Upgrade Assistant</strong>. </li> <li> Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based application modernization. </li> </ul>
