Be part of a mission that balances environmental protection, customer affordability, and infrastructure resiliency while striving to meet California's greenhouse gas (GHG) goals.</p><p>As a Federal Affairs Government Relations Advocate, you will report directly to the Director, advocating for PG&E's positions on vital energy and business issues before Congress and federal agencies. Your responsibilities will also include:</p><ul><li>Assisting with the development of legislative policy positions and internal bill analyses.</li><li>Keeping leadership informed on congressional and federal agency activities that may affect PG&E.</li><li>Building robust relationships with external stakeholders, including elected officials and industry leaders, to promote public policy priorities.</li><li>Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) on PG&E's federal government relations programs.</li><li>Collaborating with internal teams to support the development of public policy priorities.</li><li>Participating in trade associations to advance company policies.</li><li>Evaluating partnerships with governmental and community organizations.</li><li>Acting as a liaison with congressional caucuses and external organizations.</li><li>Reviewing recommendations for improving PG&E's federal government relations initiatives.</li><li>Drafting communications, including issue briefs and newsletters for stakeholders.</li><li>Supporting emergency response activities related to federal affairs.</li><li>Leading corporate affairs initiatives as required.</li></ul><p>To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in government advocacy, particularly in highly regulated industries like utilities, healthcare, or banking. Your experience will include:</p><ul><li>A minimum of six (6) years working with elected officials, public agencies, or as a political consultant.</li><li>A Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field.</li><li>A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are a plus.</li></ul><p>This is an exciting opportunity for you to enhance PG&E's image as a utility leader focused on customer satisfaction and community engagement.
