Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual to join its geospatial solutions team as a GIS Administrator You may be called upon to assist with the design, development, and maintenance of geospatial applications through the concept, design, and implementation phases. Your role will also include supporting other personnel in utilizing GIS applications and software as well as interfacing with clients and teaming partners. Salary Range: $105000-$135000 annually Position Status: Full Time; with benefits Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K with match, Life Insurance, and PTO RESPONSIBILITIES • Administer, configure, and maintain enterprise GIS environments across on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures (AWS and Azure), ensuring high availability, performance, and security. • Deploy, manage, and optimize ArcGIS Enterprise components—including ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Data Store, and ArcGIS Online—in cloud and hybrid architectures. • Collaborate with IT and cloud engineering teams to design and implement scalable GIS architectures using AWS EC2, S3, RDS, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL, and Azure Blob Storage. • Manage enterprise geodatabases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) including configuration, tuning, replication, and data integrity in both on-prem and cloud-hosted environments. • Oversee installation, patching, licensing, and version management of GIS software and extensions. • Develop and maintain automation scripts and deployment workflows using Python, PowerShell, and cloud-native tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates. • Configure load balancing, auto-scaling, and monitoring solutions for GIS servers and services in the cloud. • Manage user authentication and access control through Active Directory, Azure AD, and SAML/SSO integrations. • Support integration between GIS and enterprise systems (e.g., asset management, ERP, permitting, or work management platforms). • Ensure system compliance with data governance, backup/recovery, and cybersecurity standards. • Maintain metadata, document cloud configurations, and establish standard operating procedures and best practices for cloud-based GIS administration. • Provide end-user support, training, and technical guidance to GIS analysts, developers, and business users. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geospatial Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. • 5+ years of professional experience administering enterprise GIS systems, with at least 2 years in cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure). • Proven experience deploying and managing ArcGIS Enterprise in cloud and hybrid infrastructures. • Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Portal for ArcGIS. • Experience managing enterprise geodatabases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and optimizing performance in the cloud. • Demonstrated ability to automate and orchestrate GIS administration tasks using Python, ArcPy, PowerShell, or cloud-native automation tools. • Strong understanding of cloud networking, load balancing, IAM, and storage management in AWS and Azure. • Experience with system integration, API management, and web services (REST/SOAP). • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills. • Preferred Certifications: • Esri Technical Certification (e.g., ArcGIS Enterprise Administration Professional) • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator Associate • CompTIA Security+
