GoHomesYEG Inc. is looking for Fence, Deck & Landscaping Estimator to help us deliver strong bids this outdoor season from May until end of August.

We are looking for experienced and skilled Fence, Deck & Landscaping Estimators to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience in all aspects of fence and deck construction, including design, layout, material take-offs and installation requirements.

The Deck & Fence Estimator will be responsible for calculating final costs for clients. The successful candidate will be able to work independently or as part of a team, and must have a strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Job Description: Estimator - Fence, Deck & Landscaping - Part Time Seasonal

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their project requirements
• Interpret plot plans, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout, materials required, and installation procedures
• Familiar with Alberta Building Codes with respect to material, installation methods and permit requirements
• Familiar with landscaping final grading and drainage requirements.
• Plan fences, decks, and landscaping according to project specifications, including creating simple drawings
• Assist with job costing
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and meets customer requirements
• Communicate effectively with team members

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year experience in fence, deck estimating
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in fence and deck construction
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams
• Ability to measure materials accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good time management skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Compensation: Wage will be determined based on experience level. In addition, a bonus program is in place, calculated based on the value and/or volume of estimates that proceed to contract and become billable work.
