The role involves extending and improving the embedded infotainment platform while collaborating with other developers on software design and troubleshooting solutions on vehicles.ResponsibilitiesBe responsible for extending and improving the Rivian and Volkswagen Group embedded infotainment platform (i.e., displays, cameras, graphics, power management, audio, media, app lifecycle, etc)Contribute to the software design and code reviews while collaborating with other developers on technical issues, design choices and decision makingDeploying and troubleshooting your solutions on a target vehicle or a hardware test benchSkillsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent practical experienceDemonstrated ability to deliver software solutions on time and with high level of qualityWorking skills with C, C++, and JavaExperience with POSIX-based embedded systems; Preferred Linux and AndroidFamiliarity with one or more technical areas such as displays, cameras, graphics, power management, audio, and BluetoothComfortable working in an environment with sophisticated build systems and large code repositoriesExperience building solutions with Android Automotive OSUnderstanding of AOSP or FreeRTOS architecturesPreferred experience with low-level interfaces typical of embedded systems: such as I2C, SPI, GPIO, UART, USB, PCIe, SDIO, UFS, MDIOBenefitsOffers EquityOffers BonusEligibility for an annual performance bonusEligibility for equityBenefits package has been designed to support the health and wellness of our employeesCompany OverviewRivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies develops scalable automotive software and technology platforms for multiple vehicle segments.
