An opportunity is available for an experienced English Copy Editor to support high-quality written content across a range of AI training initiatives. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented language professional who can ensure clarity, consistency, grammatical precision, and stylistic excellence across complex written materials.<br><br>We are looking for someone who demonstrates exceptional command of English, strong editorial judgment, and a meticulous eye for detail. This role requires consistent engagement and reliability over time. <br><br><ul><li> Key Responsibilities</li><li>Edit and proofread written content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and clarity</li><li>Ensure consistency in tone, style, formatting, and terminology across documents</li><li>Improve structure, readability, and logical flow without altering the intended meaning</li><li>Identify ambiguities, inconsistencies, and factual or structural issues</li><li>Enforce style guide adherence and maintain high editorial standards</li><li>Flag unclear instructions, weak reasoning, or editorial risks in source material</li><li>Provide thoughtful feedback to enhance overall content quality</li><li> Ideal Qualifications</li><li>5+ years of proven professional experience in copy editing, proofreading, journalism, publishing, technical editing, or a related field</li><li>Exceptional written and grammatical command of English (native or near-native proficiency required)</li><li>Demonstrated history of high-precision editorial work with minimal error rates</li><li>Extremely high attention to detail and ability to catch subtle inconsistencies</li><li>Strong familiarity with style guides (e.g., Chicago, AP, MLA, or equivalent)</li><li>Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent quality standards</li><li>Reliable availability and consistent engagement</li><li> More About the Opportunity</li><li>Minimum commitment: 20 hours per week</li><li>Ongoing, consistent engagement expected</li><li>Work involves reviewing and refining high-volume written material Contract and Payment Terms</li><ul><li>You will be engaged as an independent contractor.</li><li>This is a fully remote role that can be completed on your own schedule.</li><li>Projects can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.</li><li>Payments are weekly on Stripe or Wise based on services rendered.</li></ul></ul>
