Role Overview:
Business Support Specialist are responsible for shaping the future of service by modernizing the client experience through an elevated standard of care. The BSO reports directly to the Market Business Service Officer (MBSO) and oversees the supervision and management of Support Professionals, as well as the execution of all business and service functions within assigned branches.
Education & Experience:
- Candidates are expected to have a bachelor's degree or an appropriate educational substitute
- Previous industry experience
- Active Series 7 (GS), Series 9 and 10 (SU), as well as Series 66 (AG/RA) or Series 63 (AG) and Series 65 (RA) are a must-have
- Additional permits as mandated by administrative requirements

- Being proficient in written and verbal communication involves the skill to convey ideas clearly
- Keen awareness of small details
- Proficiency in addressing and prioritizing complex needs effectively, escalating as warranted
- The ability to detect problems and patterns to foresee change and provide in-depth solutions
- Illustrating a robust skill set in leadership coupled with the ability to develop talent effectively
- Preference will be given to those who have previously worked in a supervisory capacity
- Outstanding organizational skills coupled with effective time management
- Exceptional capacity to navigate and resolve conflicts successfully
- Proficient in managing relationships, inspiring, and guiding teams in various market environments
- Understanding the risk and compliance framework of a company is crucial for employees

Key responsibilities include:
- Optimizing communication and training initiatives for Service Professionals
- Establishing partnerships with Market Sales and Risk sectors to uphold execution standards in all areas of the business
- Contributing to the MBSO's efforts in implementing service initiatives
- Guide the team in implementing organizational strategic priorities by influencing and coaching behavior change, emphasizing consistency, quality, and adherence to standards
- Guide, mentor, and oversee a team composed of Support and Service Personnel
- Advocate for the implementation of recognition programs to celebrate the achievements and dedication of Service and Support Professionals in their roles
- Enhance the efficiency of interviewing, selecting, and integrating new employees, including Financial Advisors and their Support Professionals
- Form a cooperative alliance with MBSO and HR to handle various aspects of managing individuals, such as conducting reviews, monitoring performance, and resolving disagreements
- Preserve firm affiliations with key partners across the Branch, Market, Region, and Home Office; engage actively in team gatherings, regional, and national forums
- Conduct recurring personal discussions with Support Professionals to offer guidance, define career milestones, oversee job functions, and foster team cohesion
- Ensure that support professionals effectively cover the needs of financial advisors operating within the branch
- Establish avenues for acknowledging Support Professionals by sharing best practices, successful examples, and milestones
- Champion the creation of a branch culture that embodies Organization values, highlighting the significance of diversity and inclusion
