Assistant Kitchen Manager

We’re seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Kitchen Manager to help oversee back-of-house operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about food quality and safety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can step in to lead when the Kitchen Manager is unavailable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Kitchen Manager in daily kitchen operations
  • Supervise and train line cooks and kitchen staff
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas
  • Monitor food prep, cooking times, and portion sizes
  • Assist with inventory, ordering, and cost control
  • Enforce safety and sanitation standards (per local and state regulations)
  • Help develop and maintain prep lists, station setup, and closing checklists
  • Address equipment issues and report maintenance needs
  • Lead by example in professionalism, teamwork, and work ethic

Qualifications

  • 1+ years in a kitchen leadership or supervisory role preferred
  • Strong understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)

Pay: $38,000.00 - $43,000.00 per year
