<h2>Employment Type:</h2>Part time<h2>Shift:</h2>Day Shift<h1>Description:</h1>Position Purpose: Join Mercy Care Atlanta as an Access Center Representative, where you'll play a vital role as the primary scheduler for our medical and dental services. This position ensures a seamless patient experience by managing appointments, verifying insurance, and providing essential support to our diverse patient population. What You Will Do<ul><li>Schedule and register patients for medical and dental appointments.</li><li>Verify insurance eligibility, including Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial plans.</li><li>Document appointment reasons and classify patients accurately.</li><li>Assist patients with scheduling referral appointments.</li><li>Make pre-appointment reminder calls to ensure attendance.</li><li>Collaborate with volunteer physicians and support staff to optimize scheduling templates.</li><li>Provide support to patients across all age groups, primarily adults and geriatrics. </li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required.</li><li>Certification in medical insurance carriers, patient scheduling, or medical office specialist preferred.</li><li>At least 1 year of customer service or patient relations experience in a healthcare setting.</li><li>Proficiency in automated patient scheduling systems.</li><li>Fluent in Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-9 and CPT coding, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines.</li></ul><div><div>Position Highlights and Benefits: </div><div><ul><li>Day-1 Benefits (PTO accrual, retirement plan and match, health insurance and more!) </li><li>Opportunity to get paid daily – through DailyPay </li><li>Paid holidays and generous Paid Time Off (PTO) </li><li>Discounts with major vendors; AT&T, Verizon, Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Quicken Loans, AND MORE! </li><li>Low-cost medical, dental, and vision insurance plans.
