About this role

As a Senior Manager of Content Design, you will help shape Carrier products and services with straightforward, human, and clear UX/UI copy and information architecture. From ideation through implementation, you'll partner with designers, product managers, researchers, and engineers to plan and create the content for a wide variety of experiences. You’ll lead and grow a team to continually improve the content, establish and evolve Carrier’s product voice and content standards to align with our Air Design System.

The perfect candidate has a versatile skill set that helps them plan, write and establish content and patterns for multiple channels and personas—including interaction flows, product orientations, design documentation, system nomenclature, application messaging, product guidance, brand messaging, and more. You should be equally adept at high-level design and hands-on writing and have a thorough understanding of design thinking and user experience. You will join a high-performing, high-growth team that is multidisciplinary, highly collaborative, and fun to work with.

This is a remote role that is based within the East Coast region.

Key Responsibilities

Set the vision for content to create cohesive messaging and narratives across a growing number of platforms, channels, and personas
Establish and maintain content standards with consistency while evolving Carrier’s product voice and tone
Document guidelines for best practices and principles to be used across teams
Plan, write, edit, test and improve content including interface language, product orientations, product nomenclature, navigational text, instructional direction, and information architecture
Collaborate with a variety of experience design-related stakeholders including product designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and brand marketers to serve a broad audience
Create compelling long-term content strategies that allow content to scale globally
Contribute as a thought leader on the Design team to help mature the team and improve processes, partnerships and individual performances
Provide formal and informal mentorship and design direction to other designers on the team whose responsibilities span interaction design, visual design, and content design.
Identify opportunities to leverage and incorporate the latest technologies (e.g. AI tools, research tools, etc.) to optimize efficiency and scale across programs and teams at Carrier

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
5 + years of practical experience working with digital experience content
7 + years of experience leading experience design content and content strategy projects across multiple channels and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Communication, Literature, Marketing, Journalism, English)
The ability to convey complexity simply; less is more

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

Establishes C-level partnerships at assigned accounts
Articulates a connection between the customer's core KPIs

ICF's Disaster Management division seeks a Residential Hazard Mitigation Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will support FEMA HMA planning and projects in California following the recent wildfire and straight-line wind events. This SME will be focused on identifying residential property mitigation strategies to reduce the risk to homes and property from natural hazards including wildfires, wind, ice storms, and severe weather.

The ideal candidate will be a proven FEMA HMA Subject Matter Expert with a track record of superior execution and growth and will be responsible for ensuring that programs are positioned to optimize disaster grant resource allocation, build strong solutions to impacted areas, and provide strong risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
